In the upcoming film Raging Fire, actor Donnie Yen is not only its the main star but also the action director, which means fans can look forward to some top-notch action sequences.
Tentatively set to be released on July 30 in Malaysia, the film sees Yen as a successful police officer and Nicholas Tse as a former police officer turned baddie after a tragic accident.
As seen in the trailer the two characters engage in gunfights, fistfights, streetfights and also exchanges of words as Inspector Cheung Shung-bong (Yen) interrogates Ngo (Tse).
After the release of the trailer, Yen posted the trailer on his Instagram with the caption: “Never compromise for less, even with decades of action film making I’m proud to say this one will set apart from others and a landmark!”
Filmed in 2019, Raging Fire is directed by Benny Chan, who passed away in August last year from cancer. Chan and Yen had previously worked together on the TV series Kung Fu Master and the film Fist Of Fury.
Meanwhile Tse and Yen last appeared in a movie together in the 2006 Dragon Tiger Gate.
Here’s the official synopsis for Raging Fire.
