Actress Emma Maembong, 28, and her husband, Muhammad Shazli Azhar, 32, tested positive for Covid-19.

The couple made the announcement on their respective Instagram accounts on Jan 14.

"I had no symptoms at all but my results came out positive," Emma wrote, accompanied by a video showing herself getting tested by healthcare professionals at her home.

"So even if you feel well, you can still do a swab test because you don't know if you have it or not."

On their two-month-old son Shariq Gabirel's Instagram account, the couple shared he tested negative.

Other local celebrities who tested positive recently include actress Shima Anuar and Drama Band member Aepul Roza.

Pulang star Puteri Aishah and singer-actor-TV host Alif Satar have since recovered after testing positive last year.
