After sharing on Instagram that he tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday (Jan 4), actor Harris Annuar received some negative comments on his social media.

Some of the comments were due to the fact that the Hero Remaja participant had uploaded pictures of himself without a mask and at an area that seemed to be crowded while on a holiday in Langkawi.

Due to this, his agency – Absolut Management – has released the actor’s detailed whereabouts from Dec 26 to Jan 2, as well as a statement on the matter raised by the netizens.

As reported by MStar, The Star’s Malay portal, the two-page statement uploaded on the actor’s Instagram reads: “While Harris was at Langkawi, he followed the standard operating procedure and wore a mask the whole time. He also scanned MySejahtera app throughout his stay. Neither did he go to any festival or crowded area.

“We deny any speculation that says Harris was partying at a hotel; this is not true!”

It continues: “We hope people will stop making untrue and inaccurate comments. We hope everyone gives Harris Annuar the space for him to rest and share a prayer for his recovery.

“We also hope those who were at locations visited by Harris Annuar get tested for Covid-19 immediately."

Likewise, after he tested positive, Harris – via Instagram – urged anyone who came in close contact with him to get tested and apologised for any inconvenience he may have caused.
