The pandemic has complicated travels for those with loved ones living far away in other countries.
Malaysia-based, Filipino actor-singer Mark Adam is no exception. The 41-year-old hasn't seen his mother in a long time since Covid-19 struck.
The Suami Tanpa Cinta actor wrote on Instagram on Nov 26, the day of his mother's birthday: "Happy birthday syurga (heaven)."
"May you be healthy always, stay safe, we miss you. We will see you first thing after the pandemic, God willing."
The message was accompanied by a video of him and his teary-eyed mother embracing each other at the airport during their previous get-together.
Born in Cebu, Philippines, Mark set out for Kuala Lumpur in 2001.
He has been based here ever since, finding success with two albums under his belt as well as film and TV roles.
