Phil Collins' ex-wife claims he is 'impotent' and 'did not shower or brush his teeth'

Forget Lily Collins from Emily In Paris. It is her dad, musician Phil Collins that is raising eyebrows with some scandalous news.

Collins, 69, who is in a middle of a bitter divorce settlement, has been accused of being a hermit, an alcoholic and impotent by his ex-wife Orianne Cevey.

Cevey, 46, says Collins is backing off from his deal to give her half of their US$55mil (RM227mil) house.

She has filed court documents claiming that Collins didn't shower or brush his teeth for a year.

Cevey also said that in 2017, Collins started drinking heavily and was addicted to prescription pills, so much so that he'd fall from being intoxicated.

"On multiple occasions, he hit his head when he fell, and checked into hospitals under an alias," the papers said.

Cevey also alleged that by 2019, following an operation on his back, the Against All Odds hitmaker became "increasingly depressed, withdrawn, abusive".

She also said in the documents: “He was incapable of having sex. He stopped showering, brushing his teeth and dressing properly (in fact, he did not shower or brush his teeth from 2019 until August 2020 when he vacated) [their home]."

Collins' legal team has submitted a motion to strike, claiming Cevey's filing “contains a litany of demonstrably false, immaterial, impertinent, scandalous and scurrilous allegations which have nothing to do with the legal claims in this case".

The motion added: "These false and scandalous allegations are again included only so that they can be delivered by defendants to the media to try to damage Phil Collins' reputation in an effort to extort money."

The couple were married from 1999 to 2008. After their split, she married investment banker Charles Mejjati. Collins and Cevey reunited and tied the knot again in 2015.

She claimed Collins told her that if she divorced Mejjati and gave up her stake in their US$27mil estate, the singer would give her half of their new home.

The couple have two sons. Cevey, who split with Collins in July, is now married to a 31-year-old man.
