Malaysian comedian Nigel Ng, or better known as his persona Uncle Roger, said that he was attacked in London recently.
On his Instagram post on Oct 30, Ng said the assault happened while he was walking home from lunch.
"This random guy just came up and punched me in my face. I'm guessing its probably Covid-racism related, which is really really sh*tty. Good thing he wasn't a great fighter," Ng, 29, said, pointing to his bleeding lip and bruised chin.
When Ng asked the man why he was attacked, the perpetrator replied: "You know what you did."
Ng believed he was a victim of a racial abuse.
"I don't think he knew who I was either. I think he was just trying to punch an Asian face. It just really sucks that it happened because now I don't know if I can feel safe walking back to my own place now," added Ng who has been based in London since 2015.

Covid-19 has fuelled anti-Asian racism and attacks in countries such as United States, Britain and Australia.
Ng has filed a police report over the attack. And like a true comedian, Ng – who has over 800,000 followers on Instagram – even joked about the experience.
"On the plus side, the police officer knew who Uncle Roger was," he said, adding that the officers didn't take off their shoes upon entering his home. "I was like: 'Come on, I'm already a victim, please. I got punched in the face. I don't want to have to vacuum after you leave.'"
Ng became a viral sensation earlier this year when he uploaded a video to YouTube, titled "DISGUSTED by this Egg Fried Rice Video", in which he comments on BBC Food presenter Hersha Patel’s methods of cooking rice. The video currently has more than 18 million views.
