Mugen Rao of the Indian game show Bigg Boss fame is all set to make his silver screen debut in Kollywood.

The Malaysian singer and actor revealed that he has signed three Tamil movies after winning Season Three of the reality television programme last year.

"I was committed (to acting in) three Tamil films. I was shooting for my debut film in India but the shooting had to be paused due to Covid-19 pandemic. So, I had to come back to Malaysia,” he said.

Mugen, however, hesitated to reveal the title and any further information about the films.

The 25-year-old star who has gained quite a following from all around the world said that that shooting for the films would resume soon once the situation in India under control.

Mugen has several upcoming video projects in which he would be collaborating with Kollywood actor and singer Teejay Arunachalam.

Despite his commitment to upcoming films and projects, Mugen still wants to make the time to contribute to the local entertainment industry.

"There are many aspiring artistes in Malaysia who are talented. I will guide them and share my knowledge,” he said.

Mugen was the first Malaysian to enter the Bigg Boss house on June 23, 2019. The reality show had previously enjoyed two successful seasons, in 2017 and 2018.

He was announced the winner after staying in the house for 105 days – outlasting other contestants and subsequently creating a huge buzz on social media among Malaysians. – Bernama
