Shakira has given her seal of approval to Blackpink member Rose's rendition of Waka Waka (This Time For Africa).

It all began when Blackpink guest starred on South Korean variety show Men On A Mission. One segment in particular saw Rose singing and dancing to the 2010 Fifa World Cup theme song.

A fan then noted that Rose sounded just like Shakira, posting her performance on Twitter.

It caught the eye of the Colombian singer who then shared the clip on her Twitter and Instagram accounts on Oct 18.

"Oh wow! I loved seeing you do that! Super cute! Thanks Rose," she wrote before tagging the Blackpink member and commenting on her strawberry-blonde locks: "Love your hair!"
