Blackpink, one of the most successful K-pop groups to emerge in recent years, is the main subject of the Netflix documentary, Blackpink: Light Up The Sky.
Watch the video below as the four members – Jisoo, 25, Jennie, 24, Rosé, 23 and Lisa, 23 – send a personal greeting to The Star readers and talk about the documentary.
Light Up The Sky shows the South Korean quartet talking about their personal thoughts, challenges and dreams. It also includes backstage moments as the four of them perform around the world, as well as clips of them just hanging out
At a press conference held in Seoul, South Korea, on Oct 13, Jennie said: “While the documentary shows a lot of our post-debut moments, we also wanted to share our everyday lives with our fans.
"Filming the documentary also made us think of our more playful sides that we had forgotten and made us feel closer to each other."
Watching the documentary, it’s obvious that the four of them are a tight-knit unit, which is understandable since they’ve been together for almost a decade now starting from their trainee days as teenagers.
Asked when Blackpink is at its best, Rosé replied: "We shine the most when the four of us are together."
