'Harry Potter' star Brendan Gleeson transforms into Donald Trump in TV show

Irish actor Brendan Gleeson, who played Alastor Moody in the Harry Potter film series, will be playing US president Donald Trump in the small screen.

The Comey Rule is a two-part series based on a book, A Higher Loyalty, by former FBI director James Comey, who was fired by Trump in 2017.

The show will capture Comey's journey when he served under Trump.

A 30-second teaser was released on July 29, giving viewers a glimpse of Gleeson's Trump. Meanwhile, Comey is played by Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom).

This isn't Gleeson's first time playing a head of government, having picked up an Emmy for portraying Winston Churchill in the 2009 TV film, Into The Storm.
