New Finas chairman pledges to strengthen creative industry

The new chairman of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas), Zakaria Abdul Hamid, will meet stakeholders of the arts industry soon to discuss its direction and ways to strengthen development of the local creative industry.

Zakaria said he is committed to bringing the industry to a higher level with the help of industry players and driving it towards a recovery phase through policy enhancement, encouragement, services and marketability in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
