Zee Avi, Anuar Zain, Siti Nurhaliza dedicate 'Arena Cahaya' to frontliners

A total of 27 Malaysian artistes have teamed up to shine a light in these dark times with a special recording of Arena Cahaya.

Penned by Zee Avi and Rendra Zawawi for the 2016 film OlaBola, Arena Cahaya is being used to thank and spur the Covid-19 frontliners on.

The video performance sees the artistes performing the Golden Horse Best Original Film Song-winning ballad from their homes.

Zee, the song's original singer, opens the ballad before passing the baton to a host of well-known Malaysian musicians including Anuar Zain, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, Ella, Misha Omar, Dayang Nurfaizah, Rich (Estranged) and Elvira Arul.

Even local artistes who have stepped out of the spotlight such as Malaysian Idol Season Two winner Daniel Lee and Akademi Fantasia Season One winner Vince Chong can be seen lending their voices to the project.

The special recording can be seen on Zee as well as the various artistes' instagram accounts beginning April 22.
