Malaysian fans of the Hong Kong pop star Joey Yung will have to wait till the third quarter of year before they get to see her again.

Amid escalating Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, Resorts World Genting has announced Yung’s concert will be postponed to Oct 24,2020.

Joey Yung The Tour "Love in Genting” was originally scheduled to take place at the Arena of Stars on March 21.

And despite a string of cancellations announced in the past few weeks, the concert organiser had arranged for Yung to conduct a press conference on Feb 21 to reassure fans that her show would go on.

However, a recent spike in community transmission of Covid-19 cases prompted Malaysia’s Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to issue a directive on Mar 13 for event organisers to cancel or postpone events with mass gatherings.

Fans who have purchased concert tickets may retain them for the new concert date.
