'Crazy dream': Macron unveils wrapped Arc de Triomphe in Paris

French President Emmanuel Macron unveiled a surreal and spectacular sight in Paris on Sept 16 the entire 50m-high Arc de Triomphe wrapped in fabric, fulfilling the long-held dream of late artist Christo.

The imposing war memorial has been wrapped in 25,000sq m (270,000 sq feet) of silver-blue recyclable polypropylene.
