Lukas Birk, photographer and author of the newly-released Camera Box NOW book, notes that despite box camera photography being continuously practised for over 120 years in different countries around the world, it is hardly a well-documented subject.

But the existing box camera community is a dedicated one, and it keeps this art form alive.
