Ramadan buffet with sunset view of KL skyline

The buffet includes Middle Eastern rice dishes such as Chicken Maghout, Lamb Kabsah and Beef Mandy.

DINING is not only about the food, as the people and the atmosphere complete the experience.

This Ramadan at Trace Restaurant and Bar, diners can enjoy their meals while “sky-dining” as they break fast with family and friends.

Guests can break their fast at “Selera Awangan” buffet while admiring the Kuala Lumpur city skyline from the restaurant located on the 40th floor, with skyscrapers like KL Tower and Merdeka 118 within view.

The dishes are curated from four cuisines – Malay, Oriental, Western and Middle Eastern.

From the Malay section, the Masak Lomak Cili Padi is a highlight.

The Negri Sembilan dish is a sure winner – its fiery creamy curry goes well with rice.

It is served at a live station where diners get to choose from a selection of smoked meats, namely beef, duck and quail.

Traditional Malay dishes in the spread include favourites such as Rendang Ayam, Bubur Lambuk Berempah, Satay Celup and Nasi Impit with Sayur Lodeh.

There is also a kerabu station for diners to whip up their own Malay-style salad for appetisers, as well as popular favourite teatime snack popiah (spring rolls) available in a variety of styles like Nyonya Popia Basah, Popia Goreng and Popia Sira Sambal.

Among the Oriental dishes, options include Grilled Chicken in Thai Sauce, Stir-Fried Beef Mongolian, Deep-Fried Fish with Soy Sauce, Butter Prawns with Egg Floss, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Prawn Noodles and Dim Sum.

The buffet would not be complete without Trace’s signature carvery and grill.

A live grill station is where chicken, beef, lamb, fish and sausages will be cooked upon request.

Among Middle Eastern dishes, highlights are Chicken Maghout, Lamb Kabsah and Beef Mandy.

Chicken Shawarma is available served either in Lebanese or pita bread.

The buffet is available until April 7 and is priced at RM188nett per adult and RM94nett per child.

For dessert, there will be a variety of Malay kuih and cakes, among others.
