The ESG Positive Impact Awards participants’ genuine commitment to embed ESG into their businesses made a strong impression on IJM Land chief operating officer Datuk Chai Kian Soon (pic).
“Their initiatives go beyond compliance, recognising sustainability as a driver of long-term resilience and value,” he said, adding that these companies reinforce IJM Land’s belief that Malaysia’s sustainability journey is gaining real momentum.
IJM Rimbayu, a mixed development in Teluk Panglima, Selangor, is the co-sponsor of The Star’s ESG Positive Impact Awards 2025.
Supporting the awards is a natural extension of IJM Rimbayu’s sustainability journey, Chai said.

Addressing the winners, Chai hoped the awards would be more than a moment of recognition or a trophy on the shelf.
“The true measure of success is not the award itself, but the lasting impact we create through the decisions we make every day.
“As leaders, you have shown that success is about more than delivering financial performance. It is about having the conviction to invest in people, protect the environment and uphold good governance. These are the decisions that build enduring businesses and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.”
