Lotte Chemical net loss widens in third quarter

The company's revenue increased by 17% to RM2.85bil from RM2.44bil previously.

KUALA LUMPUR: Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Bhd’s net loss widened to RM245.49mil in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2026 (3Q26) compared with RM168.83mil in 3Q25.

This is mainly attributable to additional depreciation and interest expenses associated with the LINE project as well as margin spread compression. Revenue, however, increased by 17% to RM2.85bil from RM2.44bil previously, it said in a Bursa Malaysia filing.

For the nine-month period, the group also widened its net loss to RM542.38mil from RM467.59mil, while revenue rose to RM8.48bil versus RM5.37bil.

In a separate statement, Lotte Chemical Titan chairman and chief executive officer Jang Seon Pyo said the group remains committed to strengthening its presence in key regional markets, particularly Malaysia, Indonesia, and across South-East Asia. — Bernama
