Lotte Chemical Titan net loss widens to RM245.49mil in 3Q

KUALA LUMPUR: Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Bhd’s net loss widened to RM245.49 million in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2026 (3Q 2026) compared with RM168.83 million in 3Q 2025,

This is mainly attributable to additional depreciation and interest expenses associated with the LINE project as well as margin spread compression.

Revenue, however, increased by 17 per cent to RM2.85 billion from RM2.44 billion previously, it said in Bursa Malaysia filing.

"The LINE project was still under commissioning in 3Q 2025, with depreciation commencing upon the start of commercial operations in October 2025.

"The impact was partially offset by the reversal of previous inventory write-downs to its net realisable value and share of profit from an associate company, Lotte Chemical USA Corporation,” it said.

For nine-month period, the group also widened its net loss to RM542.38 million from RM467.59 million, while revenue rose to RM8.48 billion versus RM5.37 billion.

In a separate statement, Lotte Chemical Titan chairman and chief executive officer Jang Seon Pyo said the group remain committed to strengthening its presence in key regional markets, particularly Malaysia and Indonesia, and across Southeast Asia.

"With regional gross domestic product growth expected to remain bated, we will continue to navigate the current cycle with prudence,” he added. - Bernama
