Vitrox's 3Q net profit leaps to RM118.58mil

KUALA LUMPUR: The business landscape is expected to remain favourable for Vitrox Bhd headed into 2027, underpinned by robust growth in the semiconductor sector, continued investment in AI data centre infrastructure and increasing demand for edge AI devices.

The group posted a bottomline of RM254.82mil in in the first nine months of 2026, nearly three times the net profit of RM87.01mil in the same period in 2025.

Revenue more than doubled to RM1.13bil from RM552.73bil over the same period last year.

"This stellar cumulative performance was fundamentally supported by sustained capital expenditure deployment from strong AI  infrastructure demands and electronics manufacturing customers across our main equipment segments," said Vitrox in its results filing with Bursa Malaysia.

In the third quarter alone, the group's net profit came to RM118.58mil against RM34.72mil in the year-ago quarter, while revenue jumped to RM485.1mil from RM228.57mil previously.

The quarterly improvement was driven mainly by strong demand across the Automated Board Inspection (ABI) and Machine Vision System (MVS) segments, supported by expanded adoption of advanced inspection solutions for AI infrastructure and networking equipment.

Despite the optimism over its outlook, the group said it will continue to exercise prudent cost management and operational discipline to mitigate potential risks from foreign exchange volatility and geopolitical uncertainties.

"Furthermore, the group remains steadfast in its relentless commitment to R&D investment, ensuring we stay at the forefront of technology and continuously support our customers' technology and product roadmaps in the coming years.

"These efforts will strengthen the Group’s resilience while positioning it to capitalise on favourable industry trends," it said.
