Eco-Shop revenue surges to RM793.68mil in 1Q27

The group’s net profit rose 7.55% to RM63.19mil from RM58.76mil in 1Q26.

PETALING JAYA: Against a backdrop of evolving operating costs, Eco-Shop Marketing Bhd intends to continue prioritising efficient growth while maintaining disciplined cost management.

“Direct sourcing capabilities, economies of scale and financial discipline remain the cornerstones of Eco-Shop’s strategy to pursue sustainable and profitable growth while preserving the value proposition,” said the group’s chief executive officer Jessica Ng.

In its financial results for the first quarter ended Aug 31, 2026 (1Q27), the group’s net profit rose 7.55% to RM63.19mil from RM58.76mil in 1Q26.

The group recorded a 1Q27 revenue of RM793.68mil, up by about 16% from RM684.33mil the year before, driven primarily by continued expansion of its store network.

According to Eco-Shop, 15 new stores were added during the quarter, bringing the total store count to 477.

The number of sales transactions also increased by 19.1% to 34.9 million in 1Q27, supported by the store expansion.

Along with the results, Eco-Shop also declared a single-tier interim dividend 0.61 sen per ordinary share, totalling approximately RM35.1mil, to be paid on Nov 27, 2026.

“Eco-Shop is targeting another 100 new store openings in the financial year 2027, after opening 100 new stores in the previous year,” Ng said.

Beyond new stores, 1Q27 also saw the group’s same store sales growth return to positive territory, the group said.
