PETALING JAYA: Revenue IF Bhd has entered into a strategic cooperation framework agreement with China’s Zhuhai Hengqin WeSure Digital Technology Co Ltd to establish a strategic cooperation in cross-border payments, aggregated payment solutions for the insurance industry and the joint development of insurance-related business in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Revenue IF said the agreement is in line with the strategy of the company and its subsidiaries to expand its payment business and to grow its presence in the regional cross-border payment market.
“The cooperation will allow the group to combine its local payment licence, clearing and settlement infrastructure and local operational capabilities with WeSure’s experience in serving the insurance industry, and is expected to provide the group with access to new customer segments in the insurance sector as well as cross-border payment opportunities in the cooperation regions.”
It added that the agreement is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings per share, net assets per share and gearing of the group for the financial period ending March 31, 2027.
