PETALING JAYA: Ancom Nylex Bhd
’s net profit rose 15.2% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM23.1mil in the first quarter of its financial year ending May 31, 2027 (1Q27), from RM20.1mil a year earlier.
Revenue increased 19.2% y-o-y to RM533.4mil from RM447.4mil, driven mainly by its industrial chemicals segment, which benefited from higher selling prices amid firmer crude oil prices.
Managing director and group chief executive officer Datuk Lee Cheun Wei said the group recorded its highest-ever first quarter net profit, providing a solid foundation for the next financial year.
In its agricultural chemicals segment, sales volumes continued to grow across key export markets, although the stronger ringgit against the US dollar dampened the translated value of export sales.
