Ajiya disposes of Puchong property for RM58mil

PETALING JAYA: Ajiya Bhd is disposing of a single storey factory with a two storey office erected thereon in Puchong, Selangor to Esprit Care Sdn Bhd for RM58mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Ajiya said the property is located on freehold industrial land measuring 13,536 sq metres.

The proposed disposal is undertaken as part of the group’s restructuring and consolidation efforts to rationalise its asset portfolio, streamlining operations and align with its current and future business requirements.

“The proceeds from the proposed disposal are expected to enhance the group’s liquidity position and financial flexibility, facilitate the consolidation of resources, and provide additional working capital to support its future operations and business initiatives.”

Ajiya said the proposed disposal is therefore aligned with the group’s ongoing efforts to optimise its asset allocation, enhance operational efficiency and strengthen long-term shareholder value.

“The proposed disposal forms part of the group’s ongoing business consolidation initiative to centralise its operational footprint.”
