KKB Engineering lands RM517mil water infrastructure contract


PETALING JAYA: KKB Engineering Bhd has secured a RM517mil contract from the Malaysian Government through the Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) for the “SCORE – Samalaju Water Supply Physical Infrastructure Phase 2” project.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the time of completion for the project shall be 36 months.

KKB Engineering added that it will be required to enter into a written agreement with the Government of Malaysia.

“The project will have no effect on share capital of the company and are expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of the company and group for the duration of the project.

“Risk factors affecting the project include execution risks such as availability of skilled manpower and materials, foreign exchange and changes in pricing, weather conditions and/or political, economic and regulatory conditions.”

The company said the project is in the best interest of KKB Engineering and its group.
