KSL Holdings shareholders get SC exemption

PETALING JAYA: KSL Holdings Bhd says the Securities Commission (SC) has approved an exemption for a group of its shareholders from having to undertake a mandatory offer for the remaining shares in the company.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KSL said the exemption was granted to Success Lineage Sdn Bhd (SLSB) and eight individuals, namely Khoo Cheng Hai @ Ku Cheng Hai, Ku Hwa Seng, Ku Tien Sek, Ku Wa Chong, Khoo Keng Ghiap, Khoo Lee Feng, Ku Ek Mei and Ku Keng Yaw. KSL said the exemption relates to the transfer of the individuals’ shareholdings in Premiere Sector Sdn Bhd, Noble Heritage Sdn Bhd and Gorgeous Horizon Sdn Bhd to SLSB.

“The transfer of shares to SLSB is undertaken as part of the establishment of a single family office,” it said. Following the transfer, SLSB has a deemed interest in KSL shares held by the three companies.
