PETALING JAYA: EITA Resources Bhd has secured an award from Syarikat SESCO Bhd to carry out the Mapai 500 kilovolts (kV) substation and Mapai 275kV substation extension project worth RM221mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, EITA said the award is expected to be completed within 25 months from the date of commencement on Sept 7, 2026.

“The award will not have any effect on share capital and/or shareholdings of the company.

“The board envisages that the award is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings of the Group for the financial year ending Sept 30, 2026.”

EITA said the project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s revenue and earnings over the next two financial years.

“The company does not foresee any exceptional risk other than the operational risk associated with the award. Nevertheless, the company will take the appropriate measures to mitigate the risks as and when they occur,” it said.
