Midtown secures RM73.34mil variation order

PETALING JAYA: Midtown Group Bhd’s subsidiary, Midtown Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM73.34mil variation order (VO) from a US-based multinational technology corporation.

The group noted the original contract sum of the project was revised upwards from RM63.6mil, following Midtown Engineering’s acceptance of the VO.

Under the VO, Midtown Engineering will undertake the construction and completion of a data centre located in Johor, according to the group.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the construction company said the VO will run from Aug 19, 2026 to Jan 30, 2027.

The VO is expected to boost revenue and earnings upon completion, with no material impact on its balance sheet, the company added.
