JAKARTA: Indonesia's central bank held interest rates unchanged for a second straight policy meeting on Wednesday, the first rate-setting meeting since the surprise resignation of Perry Warjiyo as its governor in late July.
Bank Indonesia left its benchmark 7-day reverse repurchase rate at 5.75%, as expected by all but one of 28 economists polled by Reuters.
Its overnight deposit and lending facility rates were also kept at 4.75% and 6.50%, respectively.
BI raised rates by 100 basis points over May and June, as the rupiah plunged to a record low against the dollar. - Reuters
