AWC bags RM23mil data centre-related project

PETALING JAYA: AWC Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Qudotech Sdn Bhd has accepted a letter of acceptance (LOA) from a joint venture contractor for a data centre-related project.

In a filing with the local bourse, the facility services provider said the contract will involve plumbing, silo tank and internal sanitary works.

The joint venture contractors consist of two private companies that were not disclosed due to confidentiality and non-disclosure obligations.

Valued at RM23.08mil, the project commenced on April 24, 2026 and is slated for completion on June 10, 2027.

Preliminary works had already begun while awaiting the finalisation of the LOA.

AWC noted the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial year ended June 30, 2027 and throughout the duration of the subcontract works.

It added it foresees no exceptional risks other than the normal operational ones, and will be managed accordingly.
