AGX Group declares 2.2 sen special dividend for FY26

AGX Group chief executive officer Datuk Ponnudorai Periasamy.

KUALA LUMPUR: AGX Group Bhd has declared a special dividend of 2.2 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026 (FY26).

In a statement, the third-party logistics solutions provider said that the dividend entitlement date has been set for July 16, 2026, with payment to be made on July 27, 2026.

The special dividend represents a dividend payout ratio of approximately 67% based on FY25 earnings, and a dividend yield of approximately 5.2%, the statement read.

This is compared to the group’s previous dividend distribution in FY24 of 0.45 sen per ordinary share, which reflected a 15% payout ratio.

Group chief executive officer Datuk Ponnudorai Periasamy said the special dividend underscores the group’s commitment to delivering sustainable value to shareholders.

“The special dividend is also supported by benefits realised following the listing of the group’s investment in our associated company, which has enabled the crystallisation of value and the return of proceeds to shareholders.

“This is also consistent with our strategy to enhance long-term shareholder value as we continue to execute on our regional growth plans,” Ponnudorai further pointed out.

In addition, Ponnudorai said that AGX is well positioned to deliver further growth in FY26.

He said this followed the recent announcement on the planned Singapore Exchange listing of associate company All-Link Air & Sea Ltd, coupled with sustained industry demand and the group’s ongoing regional expansion.

Meanwhile, AGX closed 1.19% higher to 42.5 sen yesterday.
