Chin Hin announces leadership transition in support of next phase of growth

KUALA LUMPUR: Chin Hin Group Bhd has announced a planned leadership transition across its listed companies, including the redesignation of non-executive chairman Datuk Seri Chiau Beng Teik to founder and chairman emeritus of the group.

Chiau will also serve as chairman emeritus of Chin Hin Group Property Bhd, Signature International Bhd, Fiamma Holdings Bhd, and Ajiya Bhd.

The group said the leadership transition follows its official inclusion in the 2026 Fortune Southeast Asia 500, where it debuted at No. 292, reflecting its expanding operational footprint and regional presence.

Meanwhile, Datuk Wira Chiau Haw Choon will be appointed executive chairman of Chin Hin Group, Chin Hin Group Property, Ajiya, Signature Internatinal and Fiamma.

“The Board views this as a carefully planned step in the Group's long-term succession journey — one that reflects the maturity of Chin Hin's leadership structure and its continued institutionalisation as the Group enters its next phase of growth. This is not a change in direction, but the continuation of a long-term plan.

"As Chin Hin moves into its next chapter, the group remains focused on delivery quality, margin improvement, prudent capital management, stronger governance, digital transformation and sustainability — anchored by its core strengths and a shared culture of One Vision, One System, One Culture," said the group in a statement.

It also announced that Chin Hin Group executive director Shelly Chiau Yee Wern will expand her responsibilities to include Ajiya and Fiamma Holdings, in addition to her existing roles at Chin Hin Group, Chin Hin Group Property and Signature International.

As at Dec 31, 2025, the group maintained a controlled net gearing ratio of 0.53 times.

Forward earnings visibility remains highly resilient, supported by a RM2.1bil construction order book, RM2.18bil in unbilled property development sales, and an estimated RM1.28bil order backlog within the Home & Living segment.
