Vantris Energy charts positive 1Q27 showing

PETALING JAYA: Vantris Energy Bhd expects improved performance in the coming quarters, supported by stable demand in the upstream oil and gas sector, stronger fleet utilisation and the execution of secured projects, as the group continues its recovery following financial restructuring.

The company reported a net profit of RM145.8mil for the first quarter ended April 30, 2026 of financial year 2027 (1Q27), marking its second consecutive profitable quarter.

This compares with a net loss of RM478mil a year earlier. Quarterly revenue stood at RM645.2mil.

As at April 30, 2026, the group had cash, deposits and bank balances of RM1.96bil, while its order book stood at RM5.9bil, with an additional RM2.9bil under joint ventures and associates.

The engineering and construction segment recorded improved profitability despite lower revenue, partly due to better performance from its Brazilian joint venture.
