Hextar secures RM60mil upgrading job


PETALING JAYA: Hextar Capital Bhd has been awarded a subcontract for the Timah Tasoh project in Perlis with a contract value of RM60.4mil.

In a statement, Hextar said it will undertake the balance upgrading works of the Timah Tasoh dam in Perlis, environmental protection and enhancement, piling and construction of protection bunds L5, L6 and L7, and related construction works for the Timah Tasoh project.

“The project is scheduled to commence on June 9, 2026, and is expected to be completed by June 15, 2027, with a total contract duration of about 12 months.”

It said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026, and throughout the duration of the project.
