Feytech gets RM96.8mil seat cover supply job

Feytech CEO Connie Go

PETALING JAYA: Feytech Holdings Bhd has secured a contract worth approximately RM96.8mil to supply seat covers for an upcoming Proton model, with production expected to begin in due course.

In a statement, the group said the seat covers will be manufactured by its leather trim unit, Gosford Leather Industries Sdn Bhd.

Chief executive Connie Go said the contract builds on Feytech’s relationship with the national carmaker, which dates back to 2012.

Separately, Feytech’s joint venture (JV) with China’s Wuhu Ruitai Auto Parts Co Ltd, FTRT Autoparts Sdn Bhd, is expanding its collaboration with Chery.

The JV is scheduled to commence seat production for two existing and two new Chery models in the fourth quarter of 2026 at its Subang facility.

Go said both developments align with the group’s strategy to strengthen its position as a Tier-1 seat supplier, while supporting capacity utilisation and longer-term earnings visibility.

FTRT was established to support localisation requirements for China-based original equipment manufacturers operating under completely knocked-down frameworks in Malaysia.
