Cloudpoint to acquire CX One for RM16.8mil

PETALING JAYA: Cloudpoint Technology Bhd has proposed to acquire unified communications technologies firm CX One Sdn Bhd from Goh Poh Gan, Kursinah Samat, Chee May Poh and Ng Siao We for RM16.8mil cash.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the information technology solutions provider said the acquisition complements Cloudpoint group’s existing strengths in networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and artificial intelligence-driven solutions, effectively completing its digital transformation stack.

“The vendors of CX One will furnish a cumulative profit guarantee of RM7.45mil for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2026, 2027 and 2028,” said Cloudpoint.

It added that CX One has an established client base across multiple industries, enabling cross-selling opportunities for the enlarged group and driving two-way synergies that enhance revenue growth and long-term value creation.

“The proposed acquisition is expected to contribute positively to revenue and earnings, supported by a mix of project-based income and recurring revenue streams, further strengthening the Cloudpoint group’s financial performance and long-term shareholders' value.”
