IT’S a tough lesson most young artists have had to learn: talent and hard work alone are not enough to sustain a successful career in the art world.

In fact, an overwhelming majority of art school students do not end up pursuing art as a vocation after their studies, many struggling to make a living from their artwork, says Ekuinas Nasional Bhd (Ekuinas) stakeholder affairs director Hizwani Hassan.
