HLB, corporate customers raise RM1.05 mil for welfare homes

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Leong Bank (HLB) and its corporate customers have raised RM1.05 mil for welfare homes nationwide under its Chinese New Year initiative.

In a statement, HLB said property developer Majestic Gen contributed RM100,000, with funds going towards food supplies and daily necessities amid rising costs.

Managing director of business and corporate banking Yow Kuan Tuck said the campaign enables customers to give back.

“We are grateful to customers like Majestic Gen for their contribution, ensuring that welfare homes across the country can secure necessary food supplies and daily essentials. We hope this inspires more of our corporate partners to work alongside us, as we give back to the community with a shared vision and collective action.”

Majestic Gen executive director Ta Wee Dher said the initiative supports communities in need.

“We are honoured to contribute to HLB’s initiative, specifically in ensuring that welfare homes nationwide have access to the food and resources they need, with rising inflation and cost of living.

“We value this opportunity to get involved in community service and look forward to continuing our efforts to give back to the society that supports us."
