Dnex unit bags Saudi contracts

KUALA LUMPUR: Dagang Nexchange Bhd’s (Dnex) wholly owned subsidiary Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd has secured site facilitation, logistics and telecommunications infrastructure service contracts to continue supporting Saudi Arabia’s Makkah Route initiative for this year’s haj season.

In a statement, Dnex said the contracts cover operations across seven international airports in Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkiye, marking an expansion from the previous year with the addition of a new site in Indonesia.

“Dnex has been involved in the Makkah Route programme since 2019.

“The initiative, led by Saudi Arabia’s Interior Ministry under the Pilgrim Experience Programme, enables pilgrims to complete immigration pre-clearance in their home countries, improving arrival efficiency and overall pilgrim experience,” it added.

Group chief executive officer Faizal Sham Abu Mansor said the retention and expansion of Dnex’s role reflects strong long-term partnerships and recurring revenue potential. — Bernama
