PETALING JAYA: Construction services firm GDB Holdings Bhd has secured a RM115.5mil project for the proposed new water treatment plant in Song District, Sarawak.

In a statement, the company said the contract will reinforce its strategic presence and growth trajectory in the region.

“Through its wholly-owned subsidiary GDB Infra Sdn Bhd, the group was appointed by åçPembinaan JBS Sdn Bhd as a sub-contractor to undertake the construction, supply, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of the new facility.

“GDB said the 36-month project will commence in March 2026 and is scheduled for completion within three years.

“The comprehensive scope of works includes surveying, site clearing, pipe works, rainwater intake and water treatment plant facilities, mechanical and electrical services, alongside turnkey elements.”

In tandem with the group’s expansion, GDB said the Sarawak regional office in Kuching is now operational to provide localised project management and technical support.

“GDB is also establishing its Sabah regional office in Kota Kinabalu, which is expected to commence by June 2026.”

Furthermore, the company added that the latest contract win bolsters its outstanding order book to RM785.7mil and provides it with earnings visibility through to 2029.
