Bintai Kinden wins RM26mil Johor contract


PETALING JAYA: Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd has accepted two sub-contract awards from IED Construction Sdn Bhd for mechanical and electrical (M&E) and drainage works in relation to the development of eight factory units at Golden Valley Hi-Tech Park in Kulai, Johor, totalling RM25.67mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the M&E firm said it would be undertaking the works for Golden Valley Capital Sdn Bhd.

Bintai Kinden said the M&E works for the eight factory units was for a total sub-contract sum of RM17.93mil, while the drainage works for the same development was for a total sub-contract sum of RM7.74mil.

“The commencement date for both sub-contracts is March 24, 2026. The M&E works are expected to be completed within eight months, while the drainage works are expected to be completed within six months,” it said.
