Indonesia central bank chief expects stable rupiah, maintains growth outlook

JAKARTA: Indonesia's central bank governor said on Tuesday the rupiah currency was expected to remain stable going forward due to good domestic economic prospects and manageable inflation.

Governor Perry Warjiyo said the impact of the Middle East conflict has affected the rupiah and the central bank has intensified foreign exchange intervention.

He also said the 2026 economic growth outlook was unchanged, at a range of 4.9% to 5.7% growth. (Reporting by Reuters Staff; Writing by Martin Petty; Editing by John Mair)
