Citaglobal upbeat on growth with RM1.4bil order book

KUALA LUMPUR: Citaglobal Bhd expects its RM1.4bil outstanding order book and expansion into recurring-income businesses to support earnings growth as it enters its new financial year.

Executive chairman and president Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria said the group’s immediate priority is to execute its existing order book and convert awarded projects into revenue, earnings and cash flow.

“At the same time, we are building beyond our existing earnings base,” he said, adding that Citaglobal is developing its new energy platform, including renewable energy and Bio-CNG opportunities.

The group is also pursuing opportunities in telecommunications and environmental solutions as it seeks to increase its recurring and more predictable income.

As at June 30, Citaglobal had an outstanding order book of about RM1.4bil. During the quarter, it secured a RM37.8mil subcontract for the Penang Mutiara LRT project.

For the three months ended June 30, Citaglobal posted a net profit of RM7.3mil on revenue of RM214.2mil. Revenue more than tripled from RM67mil in the preceding quarter, driven mainly by its property and civil engineering and construction segments.

For the 18-month financial period ended June 30, 2026, the group recorded a net profit of RM25.2mil on revenue of RM606.2mil.

The group had changed its financial year-end from Dec 31 to June 30. As such, no comparative financial information is available for the corresponding periods a year earlier.

Citaglobal said it remained cautiously optimistic on its prospects, supported by its order book, continued infrastructure investment and opportunities from Malaysia’s energy transition.
