PETALING JAYA: MN Holdings Bhd
, via its wholly-owned subsidiary, MN Power Transmission Sdn Bhd (MNPT), has accepted a letter of award (LOA) worth RM293.88mil for the construction of two 275 kilovolt (kV) consumer landing stations (CLS) for a data centre development located in the Central Region of Peninsular Malaysia.
In a statement, the infrastructure utilities construction and engineering solutions specialist said the LOA was awarded by a customer principally involved in computer consultancy and providing infrastructure for hosting, data processing services and related activities.
“The project involves the construction of two 275kV CLS facilities which both serve the data centre development. The total contract value is inclusive of Sales and Service Tax.
Under the contract, MN Holdings said MNPT will undertake the construction, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the CLS facilities, including the main building works and related external works.
“The construction work commenced in September 2026, and is expected to be completed in August 2027.
MN Holdings executive director Datuk Dang Siong Diang said the award of the contract marks another significant milestone for the company and further strengthens its involvement in Malaysia’s growing data centre infrastructure ecosystem.
“With a contract value of approximately RM294mil, this project demonstrates the continued demand for high-voltage power infrastructure to support large-scale data centre developments.
“Our experience in delivering high-voltage substations and power infrastructure positions us well to participate in this growing segment, and we remain focused on executing these projects effectively while continuing to pursue opportunities across the power infrastructure, data centre and utilities sectors across Peninsular Malaysia.”
The latest contracts further expand MN Holdings’ participation in mission-critical electrical infrastructure required to support Malaysia’s growing data centre industry.
“The group continues to leverage its capabilities in underground utilities engineering and substation engineering to address increasing infrastructure requirements arising from new data centre investments and broader power system developments,” said the company.
