KUALA LUMPUR: Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia is targeting a double-digit growth this year, backed by the launch of its new B-segment sport utility vehicle (SUV), Jaecoo J5, following a robust 153% sales surge in 2023.

Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia senior director Chris Tan said the newly launched Jaecoo J5 is expected to contribute to the brand’s expansion in the local SUV segment as it continues to strengthen its product lineup in Malaysia.

“Our focus is not just the numbers. We want to bring in the right product for our market and make sure our customers are happy,” he said after the launch of the SUV here yesterday.

Although Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia did not disclose specific sales targets, it remains optimistic about sustaining its strong growth.
