Perdana Petroleum secures work order for accommodation work barge vessel

KUALA LUMPUR: Perdana Petroleum Bhd has accepted a work order award for the provision of an accommodation work barge vessel from a petroleum arrangement contractor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the offshore marine services provider said its wholly owned unit, Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd, accepted the contract from Marine Creation Sdn Bhd on Dec 9, 2025.

The contract is scheduled to commence on March 27, 2026 for 60 days, with an option to extend for another 15 days plus 15 days.

Under the agreement, the vessel will provide round-the-clock services to assist and service drilling rigs, offshore installations, derrick barges, as well as towing and anchor jobs.

The estimated contract value is based on the work order issued. However, due to confidentiality and privacy clauses in the agreement, the contract value and the end-user’s name were not disclosed.

Perdana Petroleum expects the contract to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026.
