US$85mil Vietnamese industrial park breaks ground

HANOI: Construction of Phase 1 of the Hai Long Industrial Park (VSIP Nam Dinh) infrastructure project has officially begun last Friday.

Phase 1 of the VSIP Nam Dinh is being implemented in Giao Bình and Giao Hung Communes, Ninh Bình Province, covering an area of approximately 180 ha.

The project has a total investment of more than 2.2 trillion Vietnamese dong (US$85.3mil), with Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park JSC as the project owner.

The entire infrastructure system is scheduled for completion by the fourth quarter of next year.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Nguyen Cao Son, vice chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, said that the commencement of Phase 1 of VSIP Nam Dinh Industrial Park, as well as the entire project in the future with a planned area of nearly 1,100 ha, would help expand the province’s industrial development space and create new momentum for attracting domestic and foreign investment. — Viet Nam News/ANN
