KAF Digital Bank chief executive officer Suzaini Mukhtar

KUALA LUMPUR: KAF Digital Bank Bhd has appointed Suzaini Mukhtar as chief executive officer (CEO), effective Feb 1, 2026.

The bank said Suzaini, who joined as deputy CEO in late 2025, succeeds the founding leadership team as KAF Digital Bank enters its next phase of commercial growth.

“With nearly 30 years’ experience in Islamic banking across Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates, his appointment marks a strategic transition as the bank scales its digital-first, syariah-compliant offerings,” it said.

It said Suzaini’s expertise spans retail, wealth and corporate banking, with a strong track record in digitisation, product innovation and financial inclusion.

Before joining the bank, Suzaini headed deposit, payment and financial inclusion at Bank Simpanan Nasional, where he oversaw sales and state performance management, financial inclusion initiatives and remittances. He also led digital banking onboarding and adoption, marketing, product innovation, transformation and business strategy.

He also previously held senior roles at HSBC Amanah, Standard Chartered Saadiq and Emirates Islamic Bank in Dubai. — Bernama
