TSR Capital secures RM34mil flood mitigation contract

KUALA LUMPUR: TSR Capital Bhd’s wholly-owned unit TSR Bina Sdn Bhd has secured a RM34mil contract for a flood mitigation project along the East Coast Expressway (Phase 1).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the construction and property development company said it accepted a letter of award from AFA Construction and Engineering Sdn Bhd for Package 3B, which involves earthworks and related works.

The contract is scheduled to commence in April 2026 and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter 2027.

TSR Capital said the contract is expected to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets for the financial year ending June 30, 2026, and over the duration of the project.

Executive director Lim Dian Ping said the project reflects TSR’s proven track record and technical expertise in delivering infrastructure and civil engineering works.

“Flood mitigation remains a critical component of Malaysia’s infrastructure development, and we are proud to contribute towards initiatives that enhance environmental sustainability and public safety,” he said in a separate statement.

Lim said the contract is expected to contribute positively to TSR’s order book and earnings over the duration of the project.
