Pintaras Jaya wins RM36mil Sarawak job


PETALING JAYA: Pintaras Jaya Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Pintaras (East Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, has secured a sub-contract worth RM35.5mil to undertake the construction of a proposed bridge in Kuching, Sarawak.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group announced that Pintaras (East Malaysia) received a letter of award (LOA) dated Feb 2, 2026 for the works, which will include earthworks, piling, pile caps, bridge abutments, piers and bridge superstructure works.

The issuer of the LOA was not named in the announcement.

The group said that work will commence immediately for a duration of 29 months, and that the contract will be funded through internally generated funds. It is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the group for the duration of the contract.
